Event: South Island Mixed Championships

Event Description: This event is the South Island outdoor mixed ultimate championships held annually. It is an mixed or co-ed team event that is supported by the national ultimate governing body – the NZU. North Island and International teams are welcome to attend this tournament and attempt to win the South Island Championship.

When: 9 – 10 October 2010

Where: Hanmer Springs (between Christchurch and Nelson)...

This tournament is to have the popular location used last year of Hanmer Springs. This adventure town has been described as a thermal wonderland, with some of New Zealand best natural hot springs. Hanmer is approximately 2 hours driving from Christchurch, 4 hours driving from Nelson and 7 hours driving from Dunedin.

 Cost:

The cost is $35 per person; team managers are to collect the entry fee and complete the team registration form. There will be an early bird discount of $5 per person if the team manager submits the NZU entry registration form and the team fees 4 weeks prior to the tournament. Hence if you pay 4 weeks prior to the tournament the fee is $30 per person. The cut-off date for the early bird registration is 11 September! I’m happy for individuals to register with me for Hat teams that I’ll put together... but would prefer team managers to organise a team.

 Methods of payment and team registration:

Cheque: Cheques can be made out to “Canterbury Frisbee Flyers Club”. They should be posted with a completed registration form to:

          c/- M & M Connolly; 17 Cherrywood Place; Redwood;Christchurch 8051.

In the case of a late entry the registration form and cheque can be handed to Melissa or Michael Connolly at the tournament, if players or team mangers wish.

Electronic Payment & Registration: Team registrations can be emailed to mel_mike@xtra.co.nz and team entry fees can be direct debited to Christchurch Disc Sports BNZ account, account number 02-0875-0221041-097. If you choose this method of payment, then please also email mel_mike@xtra.co.nz to confirm the team name that the payment was for and the amount that you deposited.

Cash: Cash payments are also acceptable when paid to Michael or Melissa Connolly. Team registrations should accompany the payment.

Prizes: There will be Medals like the SI WaM Champs earlier this year.

Party: Will be bigger and better than last year. It will double as Crystal and Karl's birthday celebration.
